‘Televised’ is the debut single from Michael Georgian, a South East London-based producer. With an army of incredible analogue synthesisers at his disposal, he is able to blend their warmth with his own impressive grasp of danceable rhythms and a unique vocal performance. “This song was written during a period of despair in the past 2 years when I can recall day after day being the same,” he explains. “Sitting on the sofa and constantly seeing my own reflection in the TV, and treating it as a sort of alter-ego that I needed to become one with in order to not lose my mind during that period of isolation.” His experimental, punky take on electronic music feels like an impressive blend of Kraftwerk, Gary Numan and Throbbing Gristle; a truly exciting sound. -Dan Peeke
